Four-time Super Group Champions Tigres UANL to Compete at the 2025 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola

With 17 Boot & Ball titles, the most in tournament history, Tigres will be on a mission to reclaim Super Group glory this April.

DALLAS, Texas (Tuesday, Feb. 18) – Dallas Cup, the oldest and most prestigious international youth soccer tournament in North America, is pleased to announce the return of four-time Super Group champions Tigres UANL at the 2025 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola. The storied Mexican club remains one of the most competitive teams in Dallas Cup history and will be eager to reclaim their place atop the tournament’s elite bracket. The 2025 Dallas Cup will take place from April 13 through April 20.

Following their U17 team’s championship victory last spring, Tigres became the winningest club in Dallas Cup history, now boasting an impressive 17 Dallas Cup Boot & Ball championship trophies across all age groups. Their U19 academy team has been one of the most dominant sides in recent memory, capturing back-to-back Super Group titles in 2018 and 2019 with final victories over Arsenal and Villarreal, respectively. The Liga MX side also hoisted the elite bracket trophy in 2011 and 2003, making them one of only two clubs to have four Super Group championships—alongside São Paulo FC, who will be defending their title this April.

Despite their historical success, Tigres faced a challenging campaign at the 2024 Dallas Cup. They were unable to advance past the group stage, drawing their opening match against FC Dallas at the Cotton Bowl, 2-2, before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Costa Rican side Liga Alajuelense. They closed out their group stage with another hard-fought draw against Premier League club Fulham FC. With their 2024 result now behind them, Tigres will arrive in Dallas this spring determined to return to their winning ways and add a fifth Super Group title to their already illustrious resume.

Tigres joins a strong lineup of confirmed teams for the 2025 Gordon Jago Super Group, including La Liga’s Real Madrid CF, defending Super Group champions São Paulo FC, Campeonato Brasileiro Série A champions Botafogo, Danish Superliga champions FC Midtjylland, Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt, and Premier League side Newcastle United. A total of 12 elite teams from top professional clubs and national federations worldwide will compete for the iconic Boot & Ball trophy next April.

The 2025 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola will be played from April 13 through April 20. Fans and teams can learn more about the tournament by visiting www.DallasCup.org or following @dallascup on social media.
