DALLAS, Texas (Thursday, Feb. 27) – Dallas Cup, the oldest and most prestigious international youth soccer tournament in North America, is proud to announce that CF Monterrey will once again compete in the Gordon Jago Super Group at the 2025 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola. This year marks the 22nd Super Group appearance for the historic Mexican side, the most of any individual club in Dallas Cup history.
Rayados have been a mainstay in the Super Group since its inception in 1990, consistently fielding squads that have competed against some of the best youth academies from around the world. Despite their strong track record, the club continues its quest for a coveted Super Group title. Since 2015, Monterrey has twice reached the championship final, in 2015 and 2017, while making five semifinal appearances. Having won 16 titles across all other age groups, CF Monterrey returns in 2025 with their sights set on finally lifting the elusive Super Group Boot & Ball trophy.

At the senior level, Monterrey is one of the most decorated clubs in Mexico and all of Concacaf. Rayados have secured one of the four spots allocated to Concacaf for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025â„¢ to be held this summer. CF Monterrey were runners-up in the Liga MX Apertura 2024, further cementing their status as a top-tier club in the region.
The return of CF Monterrey further strengthens the 2025 Gordon Jago Super Group, which already features La Liga’s Real Madrid CF, defending Super Group champions São Paulo FC, Campeonato Brasileiro Série A champions Botafogo, Danish Superliga champions FC Midtjylland, Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt, Premier League side Newcastle United, and Monterrey's cross-town rival Tigres, who were announced last week. A total of 12 elite teams from top professional clubs and national federations worldwide will compete for the iconic Boot & Ball trophy next April.
The 2025 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola will be played from April 13 through April 20. Fans and teams can learn more about the tournament by visiting www.DallasCup.org or following @dallascup on social media.
